MISOOL ISLAND DREAM
MISOOL IN A NUTSHELL
Before we get into the details, here’s what makes this journey to Misool so special:
Raja Ampat is home to the most biodiverse coral reefs on the planet. In the far south lies Misool—a region that’s still pristine.
You’ll have the dive and snorkel spots almost entirely to yourself, without any plastic waste in sight.
The wildromantic karst landscapes here are even more breathtaking than those in the popular north. One rare highlight: Misool is home to several of the world’s only non-venomous jellyfish lakes—just 13 exist worldwide.
On this trip, we explore Misool in depth by boat.
But first we welcome you at our basecamp at the uninhabited island of Canpade. Surrounded by nature and peaceful ocean, this is the perfect place to arrive, breathe, and begin your adventure.
Misool is paradise—Magey is the wild.
You’ve seen the ocean. Do you want to travel deeper?
Our Island & Jungle Combo Trip takes you beyond the beaches of Canpade into the untouched jungle of Magey.
In Magey, you hike through dense rainforest, swim in crystal-clear waterfalls and experience the indigenous community, living far from the modern world.

TRIP OVERVIEW
THE PLAN
Our journey begins in Sorong, followed by a ferry and boat ride to Misool.
After arriving at the uninhabited island of Canpade, we start exploring Misool by boat. You will snorkel at the most biodiverse coral reefs and best spots for big fish, visit two jellyfish lakes, two mystical caves and hike to the top of Misool: The breathtaking Love Hill.
We offer Misools most complete itinerary - all while being surrounded by an abundance of small islands and breathtaking rock landscapes everyday.
HIGHLIGHTS
-
Real off-grid experience at the island Canpade with several housereefs, cliff view, white sand beach and primary jungle on spot.
-
Traditional local and western food at restaurant quality, vegan option available.
-
Misools most complete itinerary means plenty of exploration at our secret spots and in Misools biodiverse underwater world.
CHALLENGES
Our basecamp is on an uninhabited island, with electricity and two hours of Highspeed-WiFi available in the evenings.
Misool is very hot both day and night. The trip includes several short but steep and demanding hikes (up to 1.5 hours); prior snorkeling and hiking experience is recommended.
Mosquitoes and sand flies are common, though Malaria and Dengue are not a concern.
Weather conditions can change quickly, including strong winds and heavy rain.
The ferry ride to Misool is long and can be unreliable at times.
A good overall condition and prior outdoor travelling experience is recommended, but this tour is doable by almost everyone. Our oldest guest has been 73 years old.
